We are thrilled to share that our 2015 Boys Aston Villa Black team has won the NJYS Presidents State Cup in a dramatic and hard-fought final!
On Saturday, November 1, our boys faced a strong Westfield team at Maria Gatta Park in Oceanport, NJ. The game started in our favor as Aston Villa converted two chances to take a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Westfield responded and equalized at 2-2.
Demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination, our players scored again to lead 3-2, but in the final seconds of regular time, Westfield equalized, sending the game into extra time. In the first extra-time period, our boys converted another opportunity and took the lead once more — this time holding strong to secure the victory despite Westfield’s relentless efforts.
Congratulations to our players, their families, and Coach Slavi for this incredible achievement! This marks Princeton FC’s eighth State Cup title. The 2015 Aston Villa Black team is also only the second U-11 boys team in our club’s history to win this title, joining the 2012 Boys Flamingo team.
Well done, Aston Villa Black! Your hard work, teamwork, and determination have made the PFC community proud.
