We are happy to announce that our 2012 (U12) boys Flamengo team finished second at the FC Bayern Tournament Tour '24! Competing up in the U13 bracket and for the first time experiencing the 11v11 format, our players showed exceptional skill, determination, and resilience throughout the tournament.
The tournament began on a high note with a commanding 4-0 victory against Liverpool FC Academy. In their second match, Flamengo faced strong opposition from NLSA 2011 Boys. Despite an incredible effort and numerous goal-scoring opportunities, the team narrowly lost 0-1 but reached the semi-final game.
In the semi-final, Flamengo faced off against another Princeton FC team - 2011 Lazio Black. Displaying great teamwork and tactical discipline, Flamengo scored twice and kept a clean sheet, advancing to the Final.
In the final match, the boys faced the same NLSA team that had narrowly defeated them earlier. This time, Flamengo showed immense resilience, discipline, and determination against their older opponents. The match ended 0-0 after regular time, leading to a penalty shootout. Despite their best efforts, Flamengo missed two penalty shots, resulting in a win for NLSA.
Throughout the tournament, our players demonstrated incredible character, positional organization, and competitive spirit. We congratulate all the players for their outstanding performance and effort on the field. A big thank you to the parents for their unwavering support and encouragement, which played a crucial role in the team's success.
We also thank our dedicated coaching staff for their guidance and efforts in training and motivating the team in the games.
Well done, Flamengo! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to more exciting successes in the future!

PFC 2012 BOYS FLAMENGO WINS THE NJYS STATE PRESIDENTS CUP!
On November 20th PFC Flamengo 2012 B team became the youngest-ever PFC team to win the State Cup.
The run to the final started on October 1st. Flamengo comfortably won v Monmouth United 2012 B Blue with a score of 8:1.
In the second round, the boys defeated Deptford Premier B 2012. The final score again was 8:1.
In the quarter-final in one of their best games of the season, Flamengo won v PSA Monmouth 5:1.
The semifinal took place on November 19 at Marlboro Middle School. The opponent Voorhees Strikers. Wilmer Luzuriaga scored the only goal of the game and the boys booked their place in the final the next day.
The final v Parsippany Academy 2012 B Blue was played at 9 am in frigid temperatures. The Flamengo boys dominated their opponent for the majority of the game. Two goals from Felipe Martins - one from a free kick and long-range effort sealed the victory. 2:0 the final score and minutes later the boys lifted the cup.

Congratulations to our 2012 Boys Flamengo for an impressive display at the Sunburst tournament! In their first-ever tournament, the boys scored 25 goals and conceded only one in 4 matches!
