Staff Coach
Coach Ilko brings a lifelong passion for soccer to the field, a journey that began with his very first steps on the pitch at his hometown of Tsarevo, Bulgaria, as a child. While he still enjoys playing for fun on weekends, his dedication to the sport is clear.
He also brings over 12 years of professional experience in the fitness industry, having performed thousands of personal and group training sessions with people of all ages. This background provides a unique and valuable foundation for coaching soccer, with a strong focus on strength and conditioning, a crucial element in today's game.
Coach Ilko has completed the "Introduction to Grassroots Coaching" course through the US Soccer Federation. He also holds a "FC Barcelona Strength and Conditioning for Football" professional diploma, and " FC Barcelona coach academy introductory level" certification from the renowned FC Barcelona Innovation Hub, and “Precision Nutrition” Level 1 certificate.
Beyond the field, his love for the outdoors—including surfing, climbing, kayaking, and snowboarding—reflects his commitment to an active, healthy lifestyle, a philosophy he is excited to share with the next generation of players."
